Chamber Celebrates Jalisco Mexican Grill 10-Year Anniversary
The Greene County Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Jalisco Mexican Grill, a beloved local restaurant located next to Parkside Main Theater and Metropolis Café. The name “Jalisco” (pronounced Ha-Lis-Co) honors the Mexican state where owner Raquel (Kelly) Torres was born and raised. Inspired by her roots and a lifelong dream, Torres opened the restaurant to bring authentic Mexican cuisine to the Greensboro community.
Jalisco Mexican Grill is truly a family affair. Torres is joined by her daughter, Paulina Macias, and son, Javier Macias, both of whom were raised in Greensboro. Together, they have built not only a successful business but also a strong connection to the local community. Over the years, the family has remained committed to giving back. Torres shared that the restaurant regularly supports local schools by providing meals for students and teachers, as well as contributing to other community organizations. Paulina Macias emphasized the family’s dedication, saying they want the community to know that both their family and Jalisco Mexican Grill are proud to call Greensboro home—and they are here to stay. The Greene County Chamber congratulates Jalisco Mexican Grill on this milestone and looks forward to many more years of success.
Enjoy your next lunch or dinner at Jalisco Mexican Grill. You’ll be greeted with a smile from the owners and their tenured staff.
