Greene Chamber Celebrates 2025 Award Winners The Greene County Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual Awards Luncheon on October 29th at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee. Sponsored by Century Bank & Trust, the event honored outstanding businesses and individuals whose contributions strengthen and enrich the Greene County community.

Chamber President Mika Mills welcomed more than 150 guests, followed by a keynote business update from Bob Kosek with the Georgia Department of Economic Development.

Five distinguished award winners were recognized:

The Heartbeat Award

Recipient: Franks Chiropractic Life Center

Honored for many years of providing free chiropractic services to local first responders

and other community service.

Award presented by Blake Lomonaco to Dr. Richard Franks and Laura Holt.

Chamber Champion Award

Recognized for his consistent support of Chamber events and the welcoming of new

businesses to the community.

Unsung Hero Award

Celebrated for seven consecutive years of dedicated leadership of the Upscale Resale

event, benefiting the Greene & Putnam County Food Pantries. Award presented to

Rookie of the Year Award

Recognized for their creative community engagement and numerous local events.

Mickey Channell Citizen of the Year Award

Honored for her extraordinary, long-standing service to the community. From leading the

Greensboro Dreamers program for 18 years, to serving on the BankSouth Foundation

and Neighbors Helping Neighbors Board, and co-chairing the Greene County Christmas

Stocking Fund, Beth Thomas exemplifies dedicated, selfless leadership in Greene

County.
