Greene Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Metropolis Cafe

The Greene County Chamber of Commerce proudly announces the addition of Metropolis Cafe – Lake Oconee to its membership. Opened in the fall of 2024 to raving reviews from local residents, Metropolis Cafe features trendy decor, a welcoming bar, and friendly staff. The restaurant recently expanded its offerings with a new covered patio area, providing guests with an inviting alfresco dining experience.

Conveniently located next to Park Place Theatre and Filet’s, Metropolis Cafe serves fresh Greek-Mediterranean cuisine for lunch and dinner seven days a week. This is the second location for owner Deepak Kumar, who opened his first Metropolis Cafe in 2009. Over the years, his flagship restaurant has developed a loyal following, and Kumar is excited to bring the same quality and atmosphere to the Lake Oconee community. “Metropolis Cafe appeals to the lake area’s residents who move here from all over the nation,” said Kumar.
